Welcome to Ringside everybody, I’m your host, Natalie Hernandez, and today I’m joined by the lovely Tequila. Tequila, thanks for joining us.

That’s no problem at all

Natalie Hernandez
I’ll jump in with my first question, how did your injury accumulate?

Tequila
Well, I was sidelined with an injury towards the end of February; I had a problem with my right shoulder. I was wrestling Danni [Brooks] in an Indy match and when I went for my Tequila Sunrise I just really injured it. I think I just landed weird and pulled a lot of muscles, when I get back in the ring I’m not going to hold back on using the move again though.

Natalie Hernandez
Do you know when you’ll be able to start wrestling again in the squared circle?

Tequila
I’m told around the end of June, but I hope it’s sooner than that. I’ve missed three months now of the ring and I’m just anxious to get back into it and do what I love. I think I have the heart of a rhino so I’ll be back pretty soon

Natalie Hernandez
Have the writers given you any type of on screen role to keep you on screen while you’re injured?

Tequila
As you saw on last week’s Exile, I made a little cameo appearance but I’m due to work a non-wrestling programme in the next few weeks which I’m really looking forward to

Natalie Hernandez
Can you tell us what or who it involves?

Tequila
I’m sorry but I can’t. I’ve been sworn to secrecy [laughs]

Natalie Hernandez
How do you think Divas Unleashed compares to your previous federations, say, GWF?

Tequila
I think Divas Unleashed is run more efficiently whereas in GWF it was all chaos all the time, so disorganised. I remember one time in GWF; they were booking our flights and arranging hotels for us. I and Mya were travelling together and they basically just forgot about us and didn’t get us on a flight so we had to travel all the way across the country overnight. Non-stop, I don’t miss those days.

Natalie Hernandez
How are you coping sharing a locker room with Tara Lee as you’ve both had previous encounters?

Tequila
It’s not really a problem; I’m normally with like my friends or anything. The majority of the divas do get well; we haven’t really had any fights backstage or anything. I’m doing my stuff, she’s doing hers.

Natalie Hernandez
You have a lot of creative control power and you requested for Tara Lee to be given less television time, was that to due with politics?

Tequila
No, my decision to that was under the current circumstances I didn’t feel it was right for her to continue. She needed to be with her family at that time and I just didn’t think she could handle a big role after what she went through.

Natalie Hernandez
Is it true that you are engaged to Evan Montier?

Tequila
Nope, I haven’t heard those rumours actually [laughs]

Natalie Hernandez
Going back to Divas Unleashed, were you gutted that you weren’t able to be entered into the Unleashed Championship Tournament?

Tequila
Not at all, I know I wasn’t going to be able to wrestle when DU first opened but that can always be a good thing, you know, when I do return to the ring people won’t know what to really expect from me.

Natalie Hernandez
Is your ring attire, the crazy leather pants designs, are they, custom made?

Tequila
I saw them when I was in Italy and I just bought a pair for the heck of it and when it came to revamp my image. Mainly through out GWF it was leather boots and skirts. I just found the pants, got in touch with the designer and all that and I’ve basically been having them sent to me. Each week there’s at least two new pants at my PO Box [laughs]

Natalie Hernandez
Who would you say you can most relate to in the ring and friendship wise?

Tequila
Friendship wise I’d have to say Mya really, we both go back a long way. We’ve travelled together and everything but um, ring wise. I think I would have to say Mya again, we’ve worked a lot of matches together and we know each other like the back of our hands.

Natalie Hernandez
You’ve been offered a lot of money to pose in Playboy recently, but you’ve turned Hugh down, any reason? Evan? Money?

Tequila
As much as I respect Playboy, I just don’t think it’s my thing. The money was awesome; I would’ve taken them up on it if I felt differently. Evan would always be another reason I wouldn’t do it, just for the fact that there would then be nothing between us.

Natalie Hernandez
How does Evan feel about you participating in Bra and Panties matches and everything?

Tequila
He’s cool with everything I do, basically he doesn’t mind me taking my clothes off or anything at the end of the day, he’s knows I’m the one coming home to him.

Natalie Hernandez
Is it true that you’ve been offered a lead in the new Pitch Black movie?

Tequila
Yes, that was correct but I turned it down as wrestling comes first in my life and a movie career could overshadow my in ring one.

Natalie Hernandez
Before we go, one last question. Who’ll win the Unleashed Championship Tournament?

Tequila
Oh, that’s a tough one. I think we could expect something from Star, she seems crafty but overall I’d go with, Jolson. A gut instinct I think.
